Economist: The two reports of “UNCTAD” and (UN-DESA) praised the strength of the Egyptian economy, which
enhances the flow of foreign investments
Ashraf Ghorab, an investment expert and a leader in the Arab Foundation for Peace and Development, stressed that the international institutions’ praise for the Egyptian economy, the latest of which was the two reports of the United Nations Trade and Development Organization “UNCTAD”, Egypt maintained Egypt’s first place as the largest recipient of foreign direct investment in Africa for the year 2020 with total inflows of 5.9 billion Despite the Corona pandemic, in addition to the report of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA) on the success of the Egyptian National Economic and Social Reform Program, which aims to lay the foundations for a more resilient economy and a society capable of withstanding shocks, which contributes to enhancing the flow of foreign investments
Ghorab explained that the praise of these international reports for the success of the Egyptian economy, its strength, its resilience to shocks and its achievement of high rates of development despite the Corona pandemic that hit the global economy. Contributes to providing job opportunities and increasing the Egyptian national income
Ghorab pointed out that these positive international reports in favor of the Egyptian economy are due to the efforts of the Egyptian state in preparing the investment climate to become more stable and attractive, in addition to the incentives and initiatives put forward by the government to help investors and industrial sectors affected by the Corona pandemic, in addition to the state’s efforts to combat corruption and transformation. Digital and financial inclusion and the role of the Investment Authority in facilitating procedures and reducing time and effort for the investor, in addition to lowering interest rates
Ghorab continued, that the state put forward many initiatives, including lowering the interest rate, lowering the price of gas and energy, in addition to improving infrastructure, carrying out many national projects and economic reforms, a one-stop-shop system, and a lot of services and incentives provided by the state

أكد أشرف غراب ، خبير الاستثمار ، القيادي بالمؤسسة العربية للسلام والتنمية ، أن إشادة المؤسسات الدولية بالاقتصاد المصري والتي كان أخرها تقريري منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية ” الأونكتاد ” باحتفاظ مصر مصر بالمركز الأول كأكبر متلق للاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في إفريقيا لعام 2020 بإجمالي تدفقات بلغت 5.9 مليار دولار رغم جائحة كورونا، إضافة إلى تقرير إدارة الشئون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بالأمم المتحدة (UN-DESA) بنجاح البرنامج الوطني للإصلاح الاقتصادي والاجتماعي المصري والذي يهدف إلى إرساء الأسس لاقتصاد أكثر مرونة ومجتمع قادر على تحمل الصدمات ، يساهم في تعزيز تدفق الاستثمارات الاجنبية.
أوضح غراب ، أن إشادة هذه التقارير الدولية بنجاح الاقتصاد المصري وقوته وتحمله الصدمات وتحقيقه معدلات تنمية مرتفعة رغم جائحة كورونا التي ضربت الاقتصاد العالمي ، هذا كله له مردود إيجابي يعزز من جذب وتدفق الاستثمارات الاجنبية المباشرة الى مصر لإطمئنان المستثمر الاجنبي على نجاح استثماراته وزيادتها ، وهذا بدوره يساهم في توفير فرص العمل وزيادة الدخل القومي المصري.
أشار غراب ، إلى أن هذه التقارير الدولية الايجابية لصالح الاقتصاد المصري يرجع إلى جهود الدولة المصرية في تهيئة مناخ الاستثمار ليصبح أكثر استقرارا وجاذبا ، هذا بالاضافة الى الحوافز والمبادرات التي طرحتها الحكومة لمساعدة المستثمرين والقطاعات الصناعية التي تأثرت بجائحة كورونا، إضافة لجهود الدولة في مكافحة الفساد والتحول الرقمي والشمول المالي ودور هيئة الاستثمار في تيسير الاجراءات وتقليل الوقت والجهد على المستثمر ، إضافة الى خفض أسعار الفائدة .
تابع غراب ، أن الدولة طرحت العديد من المبادرات منها تخفيض سعر الفائدة ، وتخفيض سعر الغاز والطاقة، إضافة الى تحسين البنية التحتية ، والقيام بالعديد من المشروعات القومية والاصلاحات الاقتصادية ، ومنظومة الشباك الواحد والكثير من الخدمات والحوافز التي قدمتها الدولة.
